I've been sitting on this a while because I don't care to repost things that have been posted already. Anyway, after comparing v1 and v2, not only did they fix the audio problem (v1 was in MS CCIT format), but they upped the bitrate on the divx4 encode.
Anyone someone posted a REQ, and since some kind soul posted HxH28 (making meaningless the last 6 hours of my bandwidth) I'm going to put ep 14 up. [*]

[*] I can't really bitch since I never announced intent to post but I kinda figured people would figure it out after posting the last 10 eps. Ah well, I'm irrationally cheezed, whats new. |

Thanks to my reliably bad sense of timing, I just burned the original #14 onto CD a couple of days ago.
The bit rate increase isn't a big deal for me, but could you elaborate on the audio problem? Is it just that the MS CCIT codec was used or were there some glitching problems? I just did a quick check and it seemed OK, but if there's a point where it's gonna head south, I'll go ahead and download v2 as well.

The CCIT codec used about 120MB of space for something that shouldn't have taken 50. If you reencode the audio on that episode you'll find a new filesize under 100MB.
Now, there were no problems in the original audio except for the size. That said, the new version has a video stream that is almost twice as large. That should translate into some real quality difference (since the framesize is the same).
(I wish I would have caught it before I posted and I would have fixed it myself but I don't have the bandwidth to download them before I post (this is all done from a coloc'ed machine)).
Bottom line- not a big deal. You can always reencode the audio yourself if you need space. |

Thanks for the info - since I've already burned it, space gains aren't gonna do me any good and I can wait for the DVD for quallity so you've saved me a download .
