'interesting' shoujo... but aside from that..

I'm at my rope's end.. I forced winrar3(piece of crap) to keep the bad crc avi from the volume.. so I watched it.. but it'd be rather nice to have a good copy. So, using the number of tools availabe.. I set off to repair. Yay, they included recovery records like all good compressors. Bad winrar3, it doesn't tell me which volume it's repairing.. ok.. PARs.. they've never failed me before. p01.. corrupt.. p02.. good.. p03.. duplicate p02.. p04.. duplicate p03 .. no more pars.. then smartpar tells me 3 rars are corrupt.. well crap.. I've only got two valid pars.. ok, easynews.. maybe corrupt download.. NOPE.. all bad rars..

Skipping the junk

Does ANYONE have a GOOD copy of this? I've got parts 7, 10, and 11 as bad. I'd be very very grateful. Thanks

I don't have fills for you, but I wanted to point out that you can force WinRAR to repair specific files.

First, try to extract the episode. Eventually an error dialog will pop up indicating a CRC error in one of the RARs. Note which file, then cancel the extraction.

Then, launch (open) that file (NOT the base RAR), then select the ".." entry in the file list to back up to the directory level. Make sure the part for which the error was reported is selected, then click Recover.

If all goes well, WinRAR will create something like "recover.rar". Delete or rename the part you repaired, and rename recover.rar to whatever the name of the broken part was.

Then repeat for each additional part that has errors.

yea, I was originally relying on that method in the first place.. especially when I saw that there actually was a recovery record in it (seems to be rare anymore). But funny Winrar3... it doesn't tell me which are bad..

but now with this though I just had.. SmartPAR told me which are bad.. which this didnt click before, I don't know.. probably too frustrated at that point....

no difference though.. winrar3 pulls away with creating a recovered rar, but no bad blocks found for each of the three... odd enough. If no one has a good copy their willing to provide, guess I'll have to hit the fserves.. fun. Thanks though.
