Congratulations, Matt!
I know it was a lot of work and the changes so briefly mentioned in your release notes were significant undertakings - I'm sure many plaudits are to come.

Wow, those are some substantial changes-- I like the changes to the search-- it was clumsier before. |

Love it, matt. Heh, I could actually do a search on "Kenshin" again and actually get a result

matt, two rather minor questions on things I don't see anymore:
I was just making a *nag* about the site and I couldn't immediately put a handle on which groups you are currently monitoring. I know it used to be rather obvious -- either I'm blind (well, without my glasses I am anyway) or oblivious , but I couldn't spot it.
And, got to admit, I miss the search on author field choice. I spotted the "p=<author>" syntex and it works fine for me, but you know newbies will never get it. Any prospects of it coming back?

You right it's not directly listed anywhere but the groups we log are:
alt.binaries.anime
alt.binaries.multimedia.anime
alt.binaries.multimedia.anime.repost
alt.binaries.anime.tenchi
alt.binaries.anime.vcd
And we are thinking about alt.binaries.multimedia.anime.raws

I was hoping to keep it as simple an interface a possible. There is a help link on the search box and if you just did a search for a posters name without the "p=" it would warn you that it found posts that had that value as the posters name. But I'm open, I would be glad to add it back in if its needed. |

matt,
Looks nice, works good, as always a cool and useful site.
A couple notes:
Why not put the list of monitored groups in the 'About' page? Seems a logical place for that info if you don't want to clutter the front page. Or maybe a link to 'monitored groups/group list/logged groups' in the search dialog area next to the 'aliases' link or someplace like that?
Getting a '404' on the main banner self referencing link. Pardon my ignorance html wise but is this some browser specific link notation mozilla should understand but doesn't? http://animeusenet.org/\\www.animeusenet.org |
