As hinted here, the unfathomable rise of ABMAR's numbers plateaued shortly after the previous analysis and has been showing a downtrend lately (though not as extreme as the sudden drop in the smoothed plots, which are endpoint artifacts).
Interestingly, the ABA/ABMA numbers have been fairly steady for 6 months now- have we reached some sort of equilibrium?
Prediction: numbers will continue to be flat, or even downward trend for a month or two as summer hits and kids get out on summer break, then starting August, we should see another long term uptrend towards the holidays.
But then, that pretty much applies to anything on the net.

Another thing I noticed- ABMA has maintained a widening lead over ABA for the first time since I've been looking. This trend dates back to around the time of the which-newsgroup-is-which debate at the top of the year, though it appears to have started a little before that.

As always, your statistical graphs give an interesting, objective view of the groups! |
