Golden Boy "v2"?

Anyone know what the "v2" posts for Golden Boy 4-6 are? I didn't catch an nfo or other description as to what differs in this version. I seem to recall the original posts were Divx5, are these different?

My guess is they are an updated translation. Isn't that usually what the v.2 stands for?

I thought the guy was posting DVD rips. Some group sat down and subbed those? why not just rip the dvds and post those?

The DVD doesn't come out until April 23, but it is possible they got ahold of one in advance. If that's the case, then I don't know why there would have been a v.2

two possibilities spring to mind
1: could be fan-subbed rips of the japanese DVDs
2: could be that the initial release was faulty in some non-subtitle related way (video problems or the like)

I downloaded the initial posts (not the v2), and the other day flipped one on to see how it looked after I'd reencoded it to a smaller size...

My conclusion:
There's a *very* simple reason that they're doing v2 releases. Those eps were ripped from a DVD alright, but it was an HK DVD with crappy subs. Think of the "Cat's Eye" translations. The v2 release is much more legible. I hope they release a v2 of the first episode.
