I've got a couple of holes that are preventing me from burning off a chunk of stuff. Specifically: Nanaka 6-17 Ep 9 and Platonic Chain Ep 13. I checked for torrents and I think both of these were only available in multi-ep bundles of 700 MB. Argh!
Message me or something.

I'm missing episode 9 of Nanaka as well. I'll poke around anime-conan's IRC channel tomorrow to see if I can get it. |

If your other eps are the same as the ones in the bundles, then you can rename yours to match the bundle names, and then you only have to dl the ep you are missing. Though if your eps don't match you are out of luck for getting from torrents =( |

Hey, that's a neat idea - it works that way? I don't think it'll work for these particular files, but I'll have to keep that in mind.
bitorrent -> strange magic
FWIW, oblio has graciously hooked me up on the files (thanks ob!). Lemme know if you need it, anyone. I'm not too keen on posting to the newsgroups at this time, unless there's sufficient demand, so I'll think of something else.
Maybe my own torrent!

Yep. The easiest way to do it I think is to start the torrent, let it make all the files, then stop the torrent. Rename your files to match the ones in the batch folder, and then copy the renamed files over top of the empty ones.
It is then a good idea to use TorrentSpy's file completion checking ability to make sure your files are the exact same ones as in the torrent, and once you've verified they are, restart the torrent download, and pick the same base folder as the last time. |

Oooh, yeah, now we're talking. I was scratching my head about how to rename properly since I always change the name to something that fits my One True System.
Another really strange thing I noticed about bt - when it creates the dummy files, they are listed (ls -l)as being full sized. However, my filesystem reports disk free space (df -k) as if they weren't there. Wha?!?
This is Linux btw. ext3. |

The files bt creates are all 0's I remember reading somewhere that some filesystems don't use space to allocate a full filesystem block of 0's, they just remember that the block is all 0's. |
