I feel so stupid: I can't find out how to play an OGM file

I feel like such a moron. I followed many directions and websites so I could figure out how to download and play some anime episodes I would like to see and I got as far as ending up with an OGM file... but I don't know how to play it. x.x

I have only played an avi file before and I am rather new at this, so can someone help a newbie out? Please tell me what I will need to run an OGM and how I can get it (If it matters at all, I have Windows Media Player and DivX Player.)

You need the OGM codec. VLC comes with one built-in, I believe. mplayer, too.
