I picked up the new GTO disc at work today. I hadn't heard anything good/bad about the series and was buying it solely on the cover art/description. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The first DVD contains 4 episodes, one being the hour long premiere. Hopefully the next discs will follow the same format. I'm sick of Pioneer's "3 episodes is good enough" attitude. It's good to see a company releasing something right these days. Anyway, I just thought I'd mention something so that those of you who haven't thought about picking GTO up might look into it.

P.S. When I said hour, I meant 40-45 minutes. It would have been an hour if there were commercials. Also, I know that GTO is a pretty well known series. I guess I'd just been living in a cave recently. |

the japanese drama version where it's based from is way, way better and funnier than that one. but the anime's still worth watching. |
