I'd recommend my webhost (Bluedomino.com or yourwebhosting.com), except that there've been a few times when I've got host-shopping because problems on Bluedomino were driving me nuts.
Actually, Bluedomino's not so bad-- their LiveChat customer service *almost* makes up for the problems that I've had with them-- the service has been almost-perfect for the past two years with the exception of some incidents in early May of last year when they upgraded their email server and webmail software and "lost" a bunch of mail for a month (it was "lost and unrecoverable" until, presumably, enough people complained about it and I assume they brought their old hardware back online and gave us some special-access instructions). Then towards the end of this summer and early this fall they had a few instances where email went down for multiple days at a time, as well as short website outages. ugh, that was pretty unforgivable. I wrote a big long complaint letter to the president of the company explaining why I was going to leave Bluedomino the next time they had a comparable problem (I won't go into exactly what the issue was, but I was completely ticked off about it), but only received an automated "thanks for your letter" type of response. Oh well.
No, I can't recommend Bluedomino. They've got lots of features and a very decent price, and their service is almost always excellent, but those few times when everything goes all to hell... ugh. |
